What We Actually Do

Why does my door get harder to open in the winter?
This area sits in a moderate cold climate band, and cold grease in the tracks and springs makes the door heavier to lift, which puts more strain on the opener. If it's been getting noticeably worse each winter, it's worth having the hardware checked rather than just letting the opener do all the work.
